Privacy Policy

In short: Ordagrant does not collect any data. All transcription happens on your Mac.

Ordagrant is developed by Magnus Jonasson. This policy describes how the app handles information.

We collect no data

Ordagrant does not collect, store or share any personal data. The app has no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking and no ads.

Your audio stays on your Mac

All transcription happens locally on your computer. Audio files, transcribed text, projects, images and settings are stored only on your Mac, in the app's own folder. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else.

Downloading the speech recognition model

The first time you use the app, the speech recognition model is downloaded from Hugging Face (huggingface.co), but only after you choose to download it. As with any download from the internet, Hugging Face receives technical information such as your IP address. The app does not send any audio, text or other information about you. Hugging Face's own privacy policy applies to their service.

Crash reports

If you have chosen in macOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. They contain no audio or text. You control this in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Deleting your data

Everything the app saves is stored in the app's folder on your Mac and is removed when you delete the app.

Children

The app collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
