Textika is developed by Magnus Jonasson. This policy describes how the app handles information.

We collect no data

Textika does not collect, store or share any personal data. The app has no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking and no ads, and it does not connect to the internet.

Your files stay on your Mac

Textika only reads and writes the files and folders you open or create yourself. Nothing you write is sent to us or to anyone else.

Settings and workspaces

Your settings and the folders you have opened as workspaces are stored only on your Mac, so Textika can open them again next time.

Crash reports

If you have chosen in macOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. They contain no files or file contents. You control this in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Deleting your data

Everything the app saves is stored in the app's folder on your Mac and is removed when you delete the app. Your Markdown files are yours and stay where you put them.

Children

The app collects no information from anyone, including children.
